Last night the boys varsity volleyball team hosted Living Word Academy in their home opener of the 2019 season. The Bucs got off to a slow start falling behind early in set 1. Slowly they battled back in that set only to fall short, losing 25-27. The second set was a different story. Focused on minimizing their mistakes and staying focused on defense the Buccaneers were able to win set 2 with a score of 25-12. After the second set it appeared the team was able to regain confidence and the control of the match, winning the next two sets 25-15 and 25-11, respectively. 

Playing well for the Bucs was: Cole Pratt and Riley Mahoney with 11 Kills each, Eric Carson with 9 kills, Garrett Besaw and Nate DeVinny with 3 kills each and Brady Carson with 2 Kills. Additionally Mahoney had 2 Blocks, 2 Assists, 3 Aces and 7 digs and DeVinny had 32 assists, 7 aces, and 5 digs. Oswego will face the Hornets of Fayetteville Manlius Tuesday night, September 10th.
